prbly wont be able to say much till we get more info i see your posting the ad ill check later. things to look out for dont get the trashomatic (automatic) when was the timing belt last replaced water pump? check the oil.. test drive does vtec engage? im sure you knew some of it seeing as though you own a fourth gen seeing as though the motor has 200k miles on it id ask them if they would let you do a compression test. most people that have nothing to hide wont mind at all.

It looks like a decent deal even if theres something really bad wrong with the car besides like the frame being bent. if it were me i would still do some snooping around like drive it for 20 miles im pretty picky and all but if thats a body thats in good shape you could always swap a good engine in and if you do it yourself that will cost you less than 2k i spent 6k on my 2001 base with 120k miles on it. sounds like theres going to be a risk in you having to do some repairs to this car in the near future if you buy it though. big problems could have emerged after the swap he did and maybe he just dosnt want to pull the motor back out. Find out everything you can about the car then make your decision best of luck to you.

careful, the H22 might go bad on you like mine did when it had 138k on it. If you have more than 2800 spend and the body is good go for it, especially if it is the base model. The reason being is that if your h22 does go bad, you have cheaper replacement options unlike my SH, which requires tons more work.
