coilovers vs springs shocks

wondering what would be better for daily driver? d2 coilovers or springs and shocks. going
to lower 1 or 2 inches but do not to mess up the camber so it doesn't eat up tires.

Re: coilovers vs springs shocks

Drop springs and good shocks/struts to go with it. Every car I've been in with coilovers is brutal on my back when you hit a bump.

Re: coilovers vs springs shocks

don't plan on racing just daily driver. shocks and springs will run around $650 or so
from tire rack .com before shipping . l can get the d2 coilovers for $850 brand new and at those prices $200 is just a little more time saving money. which has the better ride?

and really you could run the stock struts with like some h&r sport or race springs. and call it good. mind you i say this as long as your stock struts are in decent condition.

curious what setup were you looking at for spring/strut combo?

Re: coilovers vs springs shocks

coilovers and shocks would probably be better only because you have the option of lowering and raising whenever. i took the liberty of installing a camberkit as well only because it was guaranteed that my tires would last a lot longer. Pricey yes but benificial in the long run. You end up spending more on tires and keep in mind the hot months are ahead of us.

Re: coilovers vs springs shocks

if your looking at ksports they will rust just get koni adjustables. I wouldnt go with just springs if u only buy spring lets say because your shocks will go a lot sooner. go coils, bilstein, tein, eibach, etc.
