Power steering fluid

Well, gonna be working a bit on the car this weekend and I'm thinking it's time to change the power steering fluid also. Other than using the Honda PS fluid anything else to keep in mind or is it pretty straight forward? Anybody know how much fluid it will take?

Will the Auto Zone power steering fluid for honda work, or do I need the $7/12oz bottle from the dealer??

Re: Power steering fluid

Dont use AUTOZONE PS fluid nor dealer fluid bc AUTOZONE isnt good for ur ps and the dealer is way to expensive....

BUT...you can go to Autozone and buy a bottle that HAS to say that PS fluid for all HONDA/ACURA. Hondas and Acuras have to use a special blend of ps fluid. So becareful when you buy your bottle. Jus make sure it's the right bottle!!!

Re: Power steering fluid

Got some Prestone Power Steering Fluid for Honda/Acura(<- BIG BOLD LETTERS ON THE FRONT). It says on the back in small print that it's not approved or endorsed by Honda.... WTF?!?! Anybody else use this? Should I just return it and get the OEM PSF?

Re: Power steering fluid

Out of all honesty u should remove the power steering. cut the belt, take out the pump and the hoses. Its way better and fun'r to drive. The day i took mines out, i will never go bak to havin it. It sucks at first wen parallel parking but in about a week, u'll get use to it, trust me you'll love it. If u wanna jus experience it, remove the belt and see how it is, trust me your gonna want to take the whole thing out and never put it bak again lol

Return that!!!

Go to AUTOZONE or PEPBOYS in ur area and find a black bottle within the PS fluid section n it should say in the front that it's specialized PS fluid intended for all Honda/Acura vehicles!!!
