Cheaper to rebuild or sell an rebuy

my father and i bought a 5th gen sh with about 130,000 miles on it . the people we bought it from sad clutch was bad so we put in an exedy stage 1 clutch . once we got it started we heard a small knocking noise. took it apart an found out we need connecting rods an crankshaft. would it be easier to replace the parts an do a rebuild or sell the car?

im always looking up parts for honda preludes in the states
to me the country is cheap as chips,

if its a dohc vtec, id get the parts and fix it
sounds like your a mechanic or so
all youll pay for is parts, which are cheap

I kind of agree on fixing it but the parts cheap? well maybe less than where Jonnybuts is from, where is that exactly Austraila, England or British Columbia? I noticed you said cheaper than chips

Any how you can buy a short block from Magestic Honda for like $2650 drop it in and bolt it up.

Honda Automotive Parts.

But I would tear down what you have and see the damage first then make a decision on keeping that block and just finding parts, but I have seen our motors on eBay as cheap as $600 but shipping I'm afraid puts it right at about a grand. Now keep in mind you buying used and it may only last a very short time or you could get lucky and that thing be the best motor in the world. It's a gamble
