If you have the Honda OEM alarm the parking lights should flash when arming(locking)/disarming(unlocking). I have noticed on mine though that the lights only flash the first time you hit lock or unlock (if you hit the lock or unlock button a second or third time without opening a door, the lights DO NOT flash).

Re: keyless entry

It could just be a keyless entry. I believe all the 5th gens could be equiped with a keyless entry but when locked/unlocked they do not flash or honk. I have the keyless entry for my car and it does nothing when i lock/unlock it.

Re: keyless entry

OK so for factory equipment its a keyless entry...not an alarm. As far as getting it to do those things best way is to just ask a tech or someone. But if you want to get specific drop 100-150 bones for a basic Viper Keyless entry and you can program to taste.
