The last 5th gen mile per gallon (MPG) fuel efficiency mileage thread

I've done a search and didn't see a thread for this yet.

Fuel efficiency has become more of a concern for people since it skyrocketed to $5/gallon back during the Iraq war (remember we won that war on the May 1st, 2003 so technically it's over). I see a lot of questions regarding what our MPG should be and why it's not what people expect. I propose a thread to give people a very general idea of what to expect and why.

Please post your average MPG, either for city/highway or just overall (personally I'm just going to post overall). Also please post a link to your member's ride page so we can see what modifications and maintenance has been done. Maybe post a couple relative things in your reply.

Example:

20/25mpg
:::fueleconomy.gov::: 2001 base
Stock.

IIR it's supposed to get 17 city and 25 highway

sorry... quick google seems to indicate 20 - 25 http://www.fueleconomy.gov/Feg/noframes/16515.shtml

despite the fact all my driving is city these days I'm getting around 23

stock aside from a K&N air filter...

I'll link to my members rides when I make one (I'll do that after I get my detailing and whatnot done.. so probably in the next few weeks)

Actually there was never a WAR declared. I was there April 1st 2003 thought it was a big huge April Fools joke, well the joke was on me. I trained for 8 years and who knew my last year and a half I would put it to the test. Anyhow just thought I would comment to the war status seriously there was never a War declared look it up.

Just for record these mpg posts are going to be all over the place, mine personally does terrible around the city, highway I was very impressed. I'll have to run it again soon on a longer trip and write it down but I think I got somewhere around 30 on the highway and about 24 to 25 around town and about 20 when I hit vtec a bit.

Mostly stock if your wondering.

30mpg is impresive, and if you're getting 25 in the city you're average must be awesome, at least compared to mine.
