4 pin or 5 pin or both relays for JDM fogs?

Hello,

I bought some JDM fogs and should get them soon. I did research on what harness interior/exterior/, switch, and relays to get. I also read 1BadBB6's sticky on the install. This morning thinking that I could go to my local Honda dealer I went and purchased all USDM parts. Harness', switch, 5 hole holder (so I don't have to get rid of the dimmer) and 4 pin relay. I came home and read the instructions the Honda dealer gave me and they list 2 relays So now I am really confused. Can I not use USDM parts to install my JDM fogs? If so do I need both relays? I have read like 5 or 6 install guides but am not sure which one I need. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: 4 pin or 5 pin or both relays for JDM fogs?

my replicas came with the switch and two wiring harnesses but only one relay as well. I havn't read the sticky on here yet, but the instructions that came with my kit only calls for the one relay. But it did mention two different ways to run them maybe that has something to do with the second relay. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

You can use a USDM interior harness with JDM fogs, that's not a problem.

The USDM interior harness uses two relays. One is a 4 pin, the other is a 5.

The 5 pin relay is on the right.

USDM must have the extra relay to shut your fogs off when you click the hi beams on.

ha I bet thats it. Now I'll have to get another relay
