I altogether thought it was just broken but I got around to actually doing it and I found out the window just wont stay in the window regulator when it rolls down. Is there just a glue of some sort or am I just doing it wrong?

Atleast I now know nothing is broken.

its just a glue of some sorts that holds it in those little plastic clamps. mine came out one time so i just used black silicone gasket sealer, rolled the window up all the way and then let it sit like that a couple days before i rolled it back down. havent had a problem ever since.

the window is glued to that plastic bit then the plastic bolts to the regulator. so is it the bolt thats missing or the glue? its more likely to be the bolt.

Or check to see if the bolt is just loose. This happens all the time in many cars.

Re: So what holds a window to the window regulator?

Window worked like a charm this morning after putting the gasket sealer stuff between the clamps. I surprised I could get to the left clamp. It was so hard to reach. Thanks BB6 for the advice.

I never had the door panel off, but I found out that I have JL audio speakers from the last guy who owned it. So that's a positive.

Re: So what holds a window to the window regulator?

Well with this car I say its the only thing positive! (Guy who sold it to me was a complete lier) but I'm learning to love it. Lots of problems means lots of things to fix so it leads to some one on one time with her. It sounds like I'm going on a date lol.

Last problem left is painting the back bumper and then I'm saving my quarters for the trans swap.
