Removing Engine help!

Hey guys I'm going to be pulling the motor out tomorrow (real last minute lol) and wondering if there's anything I need to know before hand.

I've done a couple swaps, but it was in a Civic and CRX. Is there anything different? Anything special needs to be done? maybe a DIY?

From the looks of it, it's easier pulling the motor from the top and just pop the axles from tranny.

Re: Removing Engine help!

if you've done a coupla swaps on civics, than you have the most important tool; experience.

def keep the tranny on the block, but pop the axles outta the tranny. don't forget an axle nut socket for them. than pull it from the top.

don't forget the VSS on the back of the tranny, next to the rear motor mount.
shifter cable bracket is a bit of a PITA, but doable.

as for the clutch, PS, and AC systems, all you gotta do is unbolt them from the motor, there's no need to drain any of those systems. careful w/ the hard clutch line tho, carefully move it outta the way, don't bend/kink the line.

all i can really think of ATM.
