2001 SH Shocks

Hell All, I just purchased a set of Enkie 17" RPM 2. While I am at it I want to get new springs and shocks. I wanted to get Eibach Sportline springs and KYB GR2 or Gas-a-Just shocks however I called both Eibach and KYB and neither makes a specific product for the SH. That being said I decided to go with H & R springs which look to be just as good. Now on to the shocks. I called Koni as well and they also do not make an SH specific shock unless I want to spend 1600 a piece for their racing shocks. I have done my share of searching on the forum and have noticed that folks install non SH shocks and springs on their cars but I am not sure if I want to do that. I would get coil overs but don't really need all that. Tokico makes a specific shock but I think they are too soft for most folks right? So what should I do? Go with the blues? Install non SH shocks? I am just worried that non SH parts will damage my suspension in any way. Any info on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Re: 2001 SH Shocks

Regular parts fit the SH. The fact that the product brochures say they don't basically means they haven't tested the product on an SH.

Many members ahve installed "regular" parts on their SHs with no dramas whatsoever. Except for Pooponurhead, whose car fell off the "jack" during the installation, but that wasn't the fault of the parts not being designated for SH.

We shouldn't laugh at Jesse, but it's a great example.

Drop Day...more than one sense.
