check your vaccuum...if any ticking comes from the motor, valve lash of course.

well it was about 9 months ago when i get my belt changed incld the water pump also the spark plugs, dizzy, and wires are new but when my mechanic was installing the spark plugs they did not even adjust the gap of spark plugs so i know they're suppose to adjust the gap right but when i asked them and they said they dont have to..

Re: idle problem please help

ticking noise is most likely that you need a valve adjustment. The vibration in drive at a stop is most likely a weak or bad motor mount.

Re: idle problem please help

I was the same way just a few months ago man. I just followed those directions in the thread very carefully and it was amazingly simple. It took approximately 30 minutes because of the drying time. You would have to be a moron to mess it up. Just follow the instructions carefully and remember, measure (check instructions) twice and cut (work) once! My problem was the FITV which was even easier than the IACV!
