Re: Building my H22a(type s)

Damn, your CR is 11:1... Not too good to boost on. You may get close to that with new cam/valve train upgrade. Maybe some ITB's, a good exhaust system. Take out all the Sh**t you dont need. Delete balance shafts, remove power steering, remove A/C. Might be cheaper to get a base engine and run low boost on it. The stock block can hold 250whp with boost if done right. Hope this helps.

Re: Building my H22a(type s)

at least $10K to spend, with aggressive cams and headwork, a custom header, and an extremely good tune just to name a couple of things. have you even researched any builds?

to reach your 250hp goal with the type s and w/o boosting it, its going to take alot of money and a ton of name brand parts (the best of the best)

for starters you will need to have a full exhaust system from the header (possibly DC sports header, i hear kteller is really good not sure if they make anymore tho and an apex/hks exhaust)
Air intake system (the V2 usually works here)
Agressive cams (crower, skunk2, toda)
with the cams you will need upgraded valvetrain (skunk2, buddy club, toda)
Intake manifold and larger throttle body (skunk2 with possibly a 68mm tb, 70's are rumered to stick)
bigger fuel injectors(im reading 370cc should do it, but 400cc to be safe? may as well gaurentee if your going to spend the money)
adjustable fuel pressure regulator(AEM)
and an engine management system (hondata s200/s300)
and the best tune you can find...

Be known that this is going to be ALOT of money
but good luck to you

oh and take out everything that has weight that you dont use if you want to go faster, there is an excellent thread on weight reduction- look into it

DC header? no. hytech replica, bisi or any other GOOD header would be loads better. the best IM they say for n/a is the euro r. and awesome thread to read is in the n/a section. its building an n/a h22. read it. memorize it lol

Re: Building my H22a(type s)

I was hoping somebody would say something about the dc header thing.

But yeah, op. Just do alot of research cos 250whp(while staying na) is definitely not easy to get without very deep pockets.
