EGR Port Plugs

Went to Honda today to buy EGR Port Plugs but they had no idea what they are. So I gave them the code (17199-PT3-AHM) for it which I found on another Honda forum but they told me that the code was wrong. Has anyone changed their plugs before and if so can you let me know if these codes are right?

Re: EGR Port Plugs

ask one of the mechanics at honda what the part is instead of the person at
the parts counter. if counter person can't find it on a computer they usually
don't have any idea what they are looking for.

the people at Honda where I reside are real jackasses. parts, service, and mechanics too. I brought my car there to get it scanned but they told me that my car was too old and that they couldnt. and the parts people, man i don't even wanna say anything.

Re: EGR Port Plugs

My dad works at the parts counter at my local Honda dealer and I just did the plugs last weekend. I'll ask him what the part number is, since I don't have it lien around. I'll get back at ya with it soon.

I do know that they changed the plugs, or rather supply different plugs than what was in there from the factory. The factory plugs were solid, where as the new ones are hollow, more like caps than plugs...

And yea, from my experience, I know all of the techs at the dealership they LOVE when I bring my lude in because they say that they never really get them, so I get to be the guinea pig for their exploration of the h22 and the lude lol. YAAAY discounts for being the lab experiment =/ Yea most of them know how MOST hondas need work, but when it comes to ludes things seem to be different than they expect...lol

FAIL!!!1!!! He's referring to the PLUGS, not the valve.

To OP. The people at your honda dealership are dumb****s, the part # you have is right. (confirmed by my father, who works at parts counter @ dealership as stated above)

NAVBAR_TITLE Honda Parts at HondaPartsDeals.com: Honda Accessory, Honda Car Parts, Honda Auto Parts, Honda Accord Parts There is a site, majestic Honda doesn't seem to have them listed. and that site I linked you to does not have a pictures. But it is indeed the right pt no. You only need 4. If you can't find em online let me know and I'll try to see if I can get some( which we should still have 4( they come in 8 packs) from when I did my plugs last weekend. You would just pay me for em +shipping

EDIT: I confirmed that I can get them for you and take pics and such. let me know.
Edit 2:^^ thats all a jumbled mess sorry lol

A.) it was a joke.
B.) one of those threads is the one we are currently in.
C.) The other thread (EGR Port) has no replies (therefore providing no help whatsoever.)
And finally D.) the other is referring to the egr valve, which is not the info needed....

Re: EGR Port Plugs

Lazer likes it when I abuse him... so he tries to get a jab at me once in a while...

Three threads about the EGR all right together seems a little silly don't you think? Like everyone is SOOO Damn Eager to start a new thread... and it is NOT necessary. No one thinks that keeping like topics together in one place would be MORE Helpful to not only themselves, but to others with the same problem?

I give you the IDLE PROBLEM Thread.

I will shut up and eat my non mechanical foot.

but, to save my dignity... I did another search and still found your answer on the first google page I looked at... and I see you revived that old thread too.

...sure enough your local dealer is a retard.
So, your problems been "resolved" I look like an ass (it's ok because I have indignantly already got my point across) and yet this thread continues????

so, I will quite arguing.. for now.
