Weird sound coming from the left front tire!!

First off, I'm new to PreludeZone, glad I'm a member now. I hope I'm not asking the same question someone else has asked about. I searched for a while I couldn't find anything. The problem I am having is when I crank my lude up and start to pull off there is a grinding noise from the front left tire area. It only last for about 2 seconds and then never happens again, unless I turn the car off and start it up again and it does the same thing, every time. Hope someone can help, thank you for your time!!

Hey man, just found your post, lol. I just posted the same problem. Do you have an SH? Did you ever find out what it was?

Yeah mines an SH. The closest dealership to me is like 70miles away so I haven't taken there. I've yet to figure whats going on with it.

I wouldn't bet on that. After further research it happens to the base models too. The ABS is more likely the suspect.

I agree, I have a base model 5 speed. i have the same thing happen if i take off decently quick from a stop. Still haven't figured out what it is, but i'm pretty sure my front left suspension might be to blame. If you figure out what the issue is please let me know. much thanks!

Re: Weird sound coming from the left front tire!!

With the info given im with Bivs sounds alot like abs to me. Is the light on?? A sound clip would also help Actually now that i think more about it im pretty sure the abs modulator is right above the driver front tire in the engine bay of course...

Re: Weird sound coming from the left front tire!!

After start up and selection of first gear the ABS pump will give a little noise just to remind you it's there.

It happens on all 5g Preludes fitted with ABS. (Yes there were some markets that didn't have it)
