Camber kit install

Alright so i ordered Ingalls camber kits, F/R. and my buddy went to install them for me the other day(since i'm still over in iraq for a couple more months..). I know the stock ones are supposed to be just press fitted in, but he's saying the stock upper balljoints look like they are welded in. is that right?? if so how do you get them out?? i tryed searching, but couldnt find anything.
HELPPPP!!
Nick

that crown has a cotter pin in it. Pull the pin and unscrew the crown.
It should release by then if not take a rubber mallet and ram it out.

Re: Camber kit install

My bad wasnt reading it entirely thought you mean you couldnt release it and someone welded the crown shut.
You'll need a ball joint seperator beat it to hell with a big hammer or take the whole control arm off and you might have to press it out.

Re: Camber kit install

Yeah if you have access to one of these it makes life wonderful.

However, if you don't have one I'm sure you (or your friend) can come up with a way to remove the ball joint similarly with a pretty big socket and a c-clamp or something. Hope this helps.
