Time for a new clutch!

So like 2 days ago my clutch totally crapped out on my with no warning, it just stopped working. It wouldnt go into gear and the clutch pedal felt wierd. So I started to look for a new clutch and flywheel. Im thinking of going with this flywheel:

ACT 600190

and this clutch kit:

Exedy Racing - Stage 2 Cerametallic Clutch Kit - Import Replacement Parts, LLC -

YAY or NAY?

Re: Time for a new clutch!

stage one is gonna be close to stock pedal effort.and if you dont plan on building it way up, then a stage 1 would be just fine. not as harse of a engagement. personnally i have a fidanza 8lb with a comp Stage 1 clutch in my lude.

but if you plan on building like a n/a monster, or a small turbo on it then ya stage 2+.

just my $.02

Have you trouble shooted (<sp?? lol) your clutch yet man? That sounds really weird, and I hate to see a thread in the next couple weeks that says" I replaced my clutch, turns out it was fine, just needed fluid FML" ...Just throwin that out there...

I wish I knew more about clutches before. My old clutch was going out so a friend gave me an ACT stage 3......... little did I know that I was saying goodbye to smooth shifting lol I will be replacing it soon though.

Well if it isn't the clutch at the end then whatever I was gonna upgrade my clutch sooner or later. How would I check if it's the fluid?

pretty much you just bleed it and see if it works/helps.

same idea as bleeding brakes

Well if the fluid is low then there's your problem. Add fluid and bleed.

Check out the clutch thread, should be stickied in this section.
