Icon2 K&N pannel filter

Hey guys
Im thinking about getting a K&N panel filter for my h22a.
Just wanted to know what you guys think about theses filters?
Do they breath better and is the oil based filter fine for the map sensor?

Or is there another filter that is better to run in them?
They say that you get hp increase with the panel filters but does anyone know if its true?

Re: K&N pannel filter

Yes, you get a huge hp increase with the K&N filter. Most of it is due to the K&N Filters decal they give you in the box. You put it on and it's worth 20hp at the wheels instantly.

Seriously dude.

It's a filter. It's only job is to filter air before it enters your engine. Yes they are better than an OEM Honda air filter for many reasons. Will you notice a hp gain just from swapping it in? Probably not. Is it better than a cai? Define better. The truth is that if you had the engine tuned properly afterwards then any intake would be a good improvement. I've seen an intake and cat back exhaust yeild a 15% increase in power at the wheels after a tune, when the same car made barely more than stock the day before the tune.
