O2 sensor question

Ok so question, i know stock the 5th gen has two o2 sensors, but since i converted to obd1, doesnt the ecu only use one of them now? if so which one?

because i'm wanting to install my aem wideband, i know it came with a new bung, but if i just use one thats already on the car, then why not.

Thanks!
Nick

Re: O2 sensor question

This first sensor is the vital sensor, your second sensor is there to make sure your cat is installed and not killing mother earth, in other words to bug the holy hell out of me.

Re: O2 sensor question

Sorry, I was not clear. Most obd1 vehicle do not have a 2nd o2 sensor. I was rambling about the fact that the 2nd o2 is affecting driveability the same on a obd2 vehicle as the non existant one on an obd1 vehicle. It is all global environmental protection crap that should be put on dirty domestics and not clean Hondas.

no you were were clear, i've got a 98 lude, just coverted to obd1 a lil while ago. so its not that i need to put a bung in for the 2nd o2 sensor. i already have that one on it. i need well now a 3rd one, being before the cat. because i'm installing a aem wideband
