Re: I've fallen in love...

Are you looking for what to look for when buying one? If so make sure you

drive it on the highway over 80 to 100 to make sure it handles good still.

I like to make sure the car hasnt been ran before I come look at it so you can see how it starts and runs cold

Check for engine leakes, coolant, oil, the best you can

Check to make sure there are no knocks or ticks in the engine,

If you find one you like and are going to buy it I would take it to a mechanic and have them do a compression test on the cylinders I found a guy that does it by my place for $40 and a leakdown test too if you have the spare money. These should insure that the engine is is decent shape. Considering that a lot of people who have preludes prolly beat on them a bit.

Re: I've fallen in love...

problem #1

Commute/ race car.

Those two terms for a car should not even be in the same sentence. Either you want a commuter or a race car.

I suggest you buy the 5th Gen for the commuter and buy a civic for the race car.
