accessory fuse keeps blowing

So this morning i go start my car and realize my radio and my radar detector (which is plugged into the cigarette lighter) don't work. I noticed the accessory fuse was blown and had a 10 amp fuse in there and the manual says 15. so i replace it with a 15 amp and it blows as soon as i turn the key. replaced it again same thing happen. I am wondering what you guys think it is? would it be something with the wiring in the radio?

no it has a SHORT to ground.. 99% positive your radar detector is blowing it in the socket. unplug it and clean out the socket and make sure there is no broken metal pieces or anything in there. replace the fuse with the radar detector unplugged and see if it still blows the fuse. I see peoples phone chargers blowing those fuses ALL the time.

It could be the socked that the radar detector pluged into. Cigarret lighters can get bent inside and create a short to the ground so even if nothing is plugged into it, it is possible that that is still whats blowing it. Try disconnecting the whole cigarret lighter plug and then try it again.

If that still dosnt work you have to start unplugging everything on that circuit and testing (plug in one at a time) untill you find out which plug is making it short out- Like the radio you mentioned before.
