6000k is brighter and produces more useful light.

very true, but pointless to have in stock housings. You'll have a better light output if you have a retrofit done. True fact and there are plenty of threads floating around to prove it

i don't disagree with the fact that projectors produce more light than stock housings. however, i disagree with it being pointless. hid's in stock housings produce approximately seven bazillion times more light than halogen bulbs. there is the argument of blinding other drivers but you can help prevent this by aiming your headlights downward a little bit. HID's help you see soooo much more than halogens, even in stock housings.

by the way, i run 5000k's they are completely white. no blue at all. 6000k is where you begin to get some blue mixed in there. so if you want all white go 5000k. the thing is, everything that your headlights hit reflects your color temperature. when i had 6000k's all the street signs and anything white reflected bluish light and it became kind of irritating. with 5000k's everything reflects it's proper color.

QFT

Those are nowhere near 6000k. I say go 6000k if you want to see the road better. And get some ****ing projectors, don't drive around blinding people.

Re: HID lighting

im tellin ya. 5000k is just pure white, no yellow and no blue. 4300k is what comes in factory vehicles that have hids so they're white with a bit of yellow to give it the look of a standard halogen bulb.

if you want to attract the least amount of attention then go between 4k and 5k
