Re: 4th gen shift cables in a 5th gen

I have a 4th Gen setup in my 5th gen. What I did was use the whole assembly. 2 of 4 bolts line up, so you'll need to cut 2 slots on the top of shifter plate in order for the other 2 bolts to line up. This thread should help you out http://preludepower.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253566

Re: 4th gen shift cables in a 5th gen

Apologies for raising this thread from the dead. I'm picking up a donor car this weekend for my 5 speed swap. The guy i'm buying it from has both a 4th gen and 5th gen shifter asssmblies, but only the 4th gen shift linkage. I'm just wondering if i can use the 4th gen linkage with the 5th gen assembly, or do they have to match up?
