Questions for shift knob?

Just got my neuspeed short shift kit, and now I want an aftermarket shift knob. I need some advices. If I'm get aftermarket shift knob, do I also need a new shift boot? I heard about stock shift boot falling off with aftermarket shift knob.

Everyone is recommending the Skunk2 and I'm looking at it. Skunk2 is a 6 gear (it doesn't matter right?).

Re: Questions for shift knob?

My friend has one of the skunk 2 knobs on his car. feels alright

only downside is we live in the desert so it gets hot as **** in the summer gotta put something over it.

i was gonna get one but i didnt wanna deal with burnng or freezng my hand on it so I ordered a leather sh knob and will shortly be getting a leather knob from an 03-07 accord to try out

If you get a 6 speed shift knob, it is mandatory that you also purchase the under car neons and light up exhaust tip.

The redline shift boots dont come with a collar on them. you need to use a zip tie to keep them up, just like the stock one without that plastic piece.

Re: Questions for shift knob?

If you don't mind a round one, here is a great deal... 385.5 grams (I sent a PM to them to ask... I think skunk2s run about 440), no shift pattern on the knob, and it is solid steel......... 17 bucks, lol.

Re: Questions for shift knob?

yo get the civic type r shiftboot with a skunk 2 knob and if u want the boot to sit flush with the bottom of the knob get a shaft collar, they sell them at any local hardware store such as ACE hardware and it cost a dollar.
