need some help!

i own a 97 prelude, sh, was driving the other night, took a right corner at low speed, motor cut out, stoped dead nothing, pulled over, being a block from my house i left it till morning, i towed it to my house, put all new coil, disributer cap, rotor, wires plugs, battery, changed oil flushed radiator, checked all connections and grounds, fuses, all the electrical, the cool air intake had alot of water in it, so i took the sparkplugs out and opened the intake to dry for a weeek, ive got tons of spark, fuel, air,. put all back together minus the cool air intake, got in kicked it over once, and then went to start it and it poped and shot, flames out intake,... can anyone lead me in the right direction to fixing this, i know i can do it myself, if you have some insight of what is causing this, let me know please, in dire need of my baby back to smashin the free way. thanks all

did you drive through a big puddle before it died?
and have you taken the valve cover off to make sure the timing belt hasn't snapped?
