Removal of door panel?

I've finally gotten everything fixed except this one thing. Considering its like
10 degrees out lately I haven't cared, but on topic now. The only thing left to
fix is the passenger side window which seems to come off the track whenever I
try to roll it down.

I got a close look today at it since it wasn't -2 outside, and the passenger
window is actually like outside of the weather stripping, and the driver side
which works is on the inside of the stripping and looks uhh normal? haha. I'm
hoping that its just off the track or something so I don't have to buy a new
regulator and crap.

What would I have to do to get a look at it? Remove the inside door panel or
what? I searched on the DIY forum on how to remove the panel but found
nothing so can someone help me before tomorrow because I don't have internet
at my house?

Re: Removal of door panel?

well, to take off the door panel, open the door. on the part where it fits into the dash, theres an obvious round clip you can see, take it off. theres a screw on the handle/tweeter part. theres a screw in the actual handle part. and thats it if i remember correctly. the rest is just clips, i usually pry it off carefully from the front going to the back. then you just have to shimmy it up to get the weatherstrip part out of the door frame

Re: Removal of door panel?

take the screw out in the handel assemblyslide it foward and pull outward. unhook the clip on the metal rod going to the handel and unplug the door lock switch. take out the screw in the door handel. pop off the little triangle cover on the backside of side view mirror, Im writing this from memory so im sorry if i miss anything but now im pretty sure you just have to pull and pry at the bottom of the pannel to unclip thr clips that push into door to hold it on. they can sometimes be pretty strong and take alot of effort to pop out. For some reason i am thinking you may have to take out the speaker first..there may be a screw or two holding on the door pannel there also, just pry off the cover and take out the screws and unplug. disconnect light wire and window switch wire and pull up the plastic and the window is right there.

Re: Removal of door panel?

Possibly. Remember that the door trim does fold back beyond the door opening.

Hey!!! I had to do the same thing for 6 months!!!

Getting it off without ruining it is impossible, I just took a saw and a hole saw to it to get it off. Then we found out why my door wouldn't open after buying new panels, an actuator, and a locking assembly......this broke.
