Not turning over...getting power to cluster. HELP!

Ok so i went over some railroad tracks in neutral just coasting over and when i shifted back into 2nd it felt like the car lost all of it's "ass" it was sluggish though 2nd and 3rd untill it finally shut off on me. the tempature gauge was reading all the way up but i was able to crank it back up and get where i was going. i let it cool and refilled the radiator with water cause it was bone dry. after it cooled completely i started it back up and it was idling at 150-200 rpm and would shut itself off if you didn't keep the rpm up. tried cranking it for the last time before going back home and it does nothing. the panel lights up but when i try to start it i get no reponse. i don't think its the starter cause it doesn't even attempt to turn over. PLEASE HELP!!

No I just refilled it with my dad...but would not bleeding it make it not even attempt to start?

why do you think its not the starter?? When they go bad they either sometimes make one click noise then nothing, or may make no noise at all. If it was cranking it would not be the starter. make sure all connections are good and no grounds are loose. check fuses and relay.Check battery voltage. Starting problem has nothing to do with coolant unless you overheated it bad and bent something causing it not to turn over......in that case you may need a motor-....try turning the crank pully by hand (with a ratchet) all the way around making sure it is not seized.

well then it could be the starter. it makes no noise whatsoever. i don't think i did anything to the motor itself cause after it cooled down i was able to crank it and drive it to get some gas. it was running fine...just idling low

tap the back of the starter solenoid (small cylinder atop starter) gently with a hammer. Sometimes you can get one or two more starts out of it. Check your ignition wires/clips which are beside your dizzy just to be sure not loose. I spent three days fightiing mine after a engine bay wash all b/c I didnt push that clip with vengance.
