Removing sunroof tint?

I am going to be getting my windows re-tinted in a week or so, I want to remove the tint from the sunroof. My question is is this possible or did they come factory tinted rendering it impossible? Also, should i go 15% or 35% tint?

Thanks
Brad

Re: Removing sunroof tint?

I didn't think it was an actual tint "film" much like the blue strip on the windshield. Could be wrong though.

If you can do it, what are you wanting to gain from tinting it? If you want to keep the sun out and temperature down then slide the shade closed.

I would either go no tint, it won't look as good from the outside but who cares it's on the top. Or go with the 35%.

It is possible that the glass itself is colored.

Re: Removing sunroof tint?

I'm purty sure every lude I have seen it is tinted...meaning that it indeed came that way from the factory. I would guess that it isn't possible to de-tint that sucker, but I could be wrong...

Re: Removing sunroof tint?

Short of scraping it off (which would probably scratch the fk out of the glass) you can't get it off - it's treated like that from factory.
