Re: Painted my stockies gold on blue lude :)

lowering maybe 1-1.5 inches lower just look at different set ups and ask questions about what they have. door handles, unless you really know what you're doing then go for it if not dont bother, you could flip over something and would have to disassemble the whole mechanism and all that jazz.
also, painting the side skirts isnt a bad idea, but you need to do it with the best stuff, i did a basic paint job on it and they faded it to a much lighter grey color.
i just use black magic tire cleaner to shine them up and it gives it a darker appearance.

Re: Painted my stockies gold on blue lude :)

I have to say....that is much better looking than the rims you stole from the Crips around the corner. I like the Blue and Gold combo.

As for your door handle, all that happened there is a spring came loose. Take of your door panel and make sure your window is up. And with a set of needle nose pliers and a small flat tip screw driver, you can fix it. I had the same thing happen to mine (as well as many others) and I just took my time and with some patients, I fixed it in about an hour.

Just be careful, because the parts are small and brittle. But it is a fairly simple fix. On a difficulty scale of 1-5 with 5 being the hardest....I would say about a 2.25

I agree with carfanatic...maybe a good 1.5" drop using good suspension like Tein or D2 would be my recommendation.

As for the door handles...
Check this out. If you have a little patience and the time...this is very simple. Hopefully it will help you out. Obviously, I did this and it worked perfectly for both of my doors with no problems ever again.

haha thats not a problem. thats why i recommended 1-1.5 inch drop instead of a 2inch drop. By doing either 1 or 1.5 it gives it a cleaner look but it isnt scraping speed bumps or anything.

Looks good mate. And a 1.5-in. drop would suit it perfectly.

Though on another note, a Supermarine Blue BB5 Prelude with a P plate...where you from mate?

Yeah you should be ok with 1.5 drop. I live in NH and there are lots of bumps and frost heaves and I don't scrape. I noticed the 4 lugs too... Looks weird

yea I would recommend moving back towards 5 lug and I'd repaint the oem rims a bit different shade of gold, otherwise a def improvement over the ugly chromes...
