Re: Inside light problem...maybe?

you sure the light is switched to "auto"? (or w/e the middle setting is)

"ON" would be on all the time, no matter what. same with off. the middle setting only comes on when the door opens.

sit in your car with the doors closed, turn the key to on, look down at your dash, and open your door. The door adjar light should come on. Does it? IF it doesn't, odds are you have a bad door switch.

Definately do this! ^^

your light works on a negative trigger system, aka, with the door open it allows a metal contact in your pin switch to touch the cars metal body, completing the ground circuit. There may be rust, corrosion, or a damaged pin.

If you do all of this, and it still is NOT working, check at your dome light.

IF I remember correctly: The left pin should have constant 12V(B+) no matter the switch position.

The center pin will show ground at any time, regardless of the door position.

the last pin should ONLY show ground when the door is open.
