Icon5 install questions...

I did my clutch this summer and had problems with install of main oil seal...but anyhoo I have two specific questions in regards to install.

1) The first time all the Hondabond was super old and crusty, so it came off like a dream from bolts, holes, and recess's of holes (just threaded clean bolts in and cleaned threads of holes). This time I did it over summer and it was nice and hot, so the Hondabond is new, super sticky, and very hard to get off. My question is can I just install the Main Oil Seal cover and Oil Pan with Hondabond still in the holes and recess's. I got the bolts very clean with a wire brush. I have new Hondabond but not sure how the seal will be with already set Hondabond there.

2) Can I install parts with Hondabond while its raining and cold (40-55 degrees in Cali right now). Yes I read the tube and it says in a perfect world install when 70 degrees and let sit for a day. I can let it sit for a few days but am worried about the moisture.

Re: install questions...

I would just worry aboutgetting all the old hondabond off flat surfaces such as the oil pan and block. It's very easy to do with a razor. I never even bother with bolts or holes.

Second part, I'm not positive about, but I'm pretty I've used hondabond in much harsher climates such as snowing and like 20 degrees haha

Re: install questions...

Nice, I am going to try and get it all back together this weekend. In regards to the flat surfaces, a motorcycle tech buddy gave me a Snap-On plastic scraper which is perfect for scraping aluminum. Thanks for all your help twokexlv6coupe, huge help man!

Any MOD, feel free to kill this post as my question has been answered! PreludeZone ROCKS!
