clutch problem after driving

alright i have a what you could say new clutch, has about 10k on it now.

When it was replaced we also had the flywheel resurfaced for safety.

My clutch pedal has a little bit of play to it so it needs to be adjusted.

But my issue is that after driving around town for a while (using clutch quite a bit for heavy traffic areas) when i take off in first i feel what seems to be wheel hop.

The clutch slipping or something like that.

Can anyone explain why this is?

kinda sounds like you have clutch chatter. what kind/stage clutch?

Troubleshooting
T: What causes clutch chatter?
S: A high coefficient of friction, bad motor mounts, an incorrectly machined flywheel or faulty pressure plate, spring-centered race disc (aggravates chatter), and contamination (oil, grease, or rust).

Chatter is basically the engine winding up in the mounts as the clutch is engaging and then bouncing off the mounts, disengaging the clutch for a brief moment before engaging again and winding up again. No matter how aggressive a clutch is that would normally chatter severely on a normal street car, it generally won't chatter at all on a car with solid mounts and a rigid disc because there is no wind-up effect.

Damn I think is is happening to me to. Good shizz Neck!

Although I have known that my front motor mounts needs to be replaced and I suspect my pressure plate is fudged a little bit. It creaks when I let out the clutch...But thats not the point. Not tryin to thread jack either lol.

its a LuK Gold Performance clutch, idk what 'stage' it is.

That is def. what it feels like but I don't even know where to begin on fixing it.

Hmmmm... I never really heard of them haha. Has it always been happening all 10k miles?? You sure it was installed properly?

Problem just started within the past week...

My dad has installed more clutches then I can count, I am pretty sure its installed properly.

I am about to reinstall my transmission for the second time as I did the Main Oil Seal (don't touch MOS unless its leaking..hehe) the wrong way the first time and now know how to do it...not the point, sorry.

When I was road testing after first install I was having problems with the clutch pedal/feel...I bleed the clutch line and it felt fine...in other words you may have some air in the line, bleed it.

Yeah I resurfaced my flywheel on my 3rd Gen (prelude) when I did a clutch kit, a while back. I had a bit of chatter as well. I still have my 8 lb fidanza flywheel and 4 puck kevlar (fidanza) clutch to install in my 5th Gen.
