getting a little more power need advice

so im going to get a rsx and give my girl the automatic prelude what im wondering is if i put new 4-2-1 header and hks exhaust then skunk 2 intake manifold, skunk2 68 mm throttle body, short air intake would that give enough power to her at all or not really. I guess what im wondering is would i notice a difference in the way it runs or should i do something else?

Re: getting a little more power need advice

I think you would feel at least a little difference if not alot after doing all that. but all in all it would prob only be getting around 8 extra hp + - It will sound alot nicer too! I say go for it.

Re: getting a little more power need advice

youre really just going to "give it" to her? youre outta your mind man haha. if i were you, id just sell whatever it is you were going to put on it. and if you havent bought it yet, dont. just put all your cash into the next car youre getting. as far as your original question, probably not a lot of power. maybe around 15? not even

if your not gonna bother getting the car tuned, your wasting alottttttt of money, and will barely see anyyyy difference in power, if anything. especially since its an automatic.

just save the money for your RSX instead of wasting it.

Re: getting a little more power need advice

alright so yes i was going to put all that stuff on my prelude but and yes i was just going to give it to her i mean i have money to blow so im not to worried but yeah i just want it to be at least semi decent but yeah new intake manifold and throttle body would be stupid so i guess a paint job and new rims should be good enough.

Re: getting a little more power need advice

Skunk 2 manifold and TB is overkill for a stock motor. It will just bog the engine down until you hit around 6k and you will reach the rev limit of the stock motor soon.

Go with hytec replica header if you do (or Mugen, Hytec, SMSP if you have money), dont bother with megan or dc sport.
