Deep Dish Rims?

Hi all,

I just bought my first 5th Gen Prelude. That said, my first order of business is to buy some deep dish rims for it. Does anyone have any pictures or suggestions as to what looks good?

I'm guessing 18 inch would be the way to go?

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't go bigger than 17" cause it sacrifices too much ride quality IMO. As for what looks good, that's personal preference. You decide what looks good and doesn't. :)

have to agree with si i cant picture them on a lude. 17's should be the highest after 16 inch you lose handling and thats some thing our cars are known for having.

I can picture them on a 5th gen Lude...just be wary of the offset...

Shieeet, why not?
Euro cars are not the only cars that can rock deeeeep dish rims!

my rims aren't deep dish, but they are 18's.... I'm so sick of the large rim haters. I am not sacrificing anything. I am almost 100% positive that my lude will outhandle most cars on this site.

Ogs, you also have like $10,000 invested in your suspension. You forgot to mention that little detail.

i rock the 18's and they handle just as good as the 17's i used to have, the only difference is the back end rubs a little when i go around hard turns

You don't really see deep dish wheels on Ludes unless they're wide body. Our high offsets limit this.

When you say deep dish rims do you mean rims that are large in size(17,18,19), or do you mean rims with a huge lip that is around four or five inches deep. If it is the latter, then man you need some teaching. You never put that style on preludes. First, deep dishes of that style are meant for cars that can drift, not front wheel drivers. Those look really nasty. I believe you are thinking of enkei's or advan's.

Sorry, forgot to read the whole thing. I think 18's look good. If many read a lot of car magazines, then you should no that ride quality and fuel economy are not sacrificed until you go larger than 18 inches, not 17 inches. Disregard about what I said about the drift rims. I am just stressed trying to find a lude with low miles, certain colors, no accidents, and a low price.
