It doesn't look too bad, at least it's not a rear quarter panel. However, it's a good thing they have video surveillance, even if they can't see the person's license plates, at least you can show that to your insurance company if they ask what happened.

Re: Could the owner of the blue honda come to the service desk

ok so 2 questions and a statement or two. does the bumper look bad enough to be replaced? do headlights come in singles or only pairs?they have been quiet yellow and ive used the Meguire's PlastX stuff alot on them. there is a scuff on the light that is not visible in those pics. also the fender that got hit is slightly messed up right at the tire well where it is rounded, so this isnt a horrible thing. just some very poor timing and still sux i gota shell out $500 my own money

Re: Could the owner of the blue honda come to the service desk

You proabably could get the parts from a junk yard and fix yourself for less than $500.

Sorry about your Prelude, I don't know why people are so careless and even when they know that they hit something they flee the scene. Hopefully one day they will get theirs.

Another rule of thumb while parking in crowded lots, anyways park beside 4 door vehicles, doors aren't as long, always park between exspensive vehicles usually those types are very honest (I did say usually) and they might either wait until you come out or have you paged, or leave a note with contact information.

Re: Could the owner of the blue honda come to the service desk

im so frustrated with all of this! i never posted back in September that some woman with no insurance scraped my bumper. i got $350 outa that from un-insured motorist's on my part. was going to wait on taxes,as i am now, to get it fixed. so i guess ill get all of it fixed at once and possibly get the whole car painted while im at it..if its not to expensive. there is some blemishe's you cant see unless your up close

Re: Could the owner of the blue honda come to the service desk

I feel your pain. The way the world works nowadays is a crying shame. People just don't give a damn, because I refuse to believe that people would see a beautifully kept car then proceed to hate on it. I have to. This belief keeps me from going GTA when people ding up my ride. Most parts yards have 5th gen parts, then its a matter of driving around in a techni-color lude. hope it works out!

I do part 2 no matter where I am at. But the funny thing is, when I get back to my car, there are other cars parked next to mine. Sometimes there are 4-5 empty spots closer to the entrance

But they probably are parking next to me, knowing that I wont ding up there car lol

They sell them lights in singles. You would have to fork out for the other side.
Unless all of the bumper tabs are broken, its repairable.

Im surprised they arent letting you use the Hit N Run deductible. Its not your fault, so it should be covered under that claim. Try to see if they are willing to change it to a Hit N Run claim. Wont hurt to ask.

Re: Could the owner of the blue honda come to the service desk

of course walmarts gotta be "super" as in supertard because almost everytime somebody i know goes to a "super" walmart something retarded happens - i.e shopping carts hitting their car, long lines because somebody was "sure" it was a lower price, only one line because the rest are closed (most common), oh and the new walmart we have has the prepackaged cheese on the other side of the store from the meat ( deli closes at 9)
but jeez that sucks i'd go ape shat if i knew who it was
+1 for walmarts "customer service" not really, they suck.... too bad they are cheap because i dont really like them

Re: Could the owner of the blue honda come to the service desk

And people always give me sh%& for parking in the corner of the parking lot where no other cars are. This is a perfect example of why you stay away from all the dumb people who care not for their own cars, not to mention our Prelude's!

I was just having breakfast with my Father and after getting in his truck, a meth head was getting out of his car and fully leaned on his door in to my paps' truck and dented the hell out of his passenger door. I was fully prepared to get out and beat this mans azz in the middle of the parking lot at the family breakfast place (I thought meth users don't eat!). My Father just said "I hope that wasn't bad, the last thing he needs is for me to make his insurance pay for a little scratch" and we drove away. I swear this drug addict did this on purpose but hey some people (ie - my Father) could give a sh%& about their own car. I was furious and just had to let my paps do his thing, it wasn't my car. Sorry your story just rehashed this in my mind as it happened under a week ago.

I wish you best of luck with your insurance company, they suck too! If they cover it I would try and get a new 1/4 panel! Just bending it back would suck.
Make sure the insurance company leaves your "claim open" until its fixed to YOUR satisfaction!!!

I wouldnt even claim something as stupid as a effed up fender...remove it grind to metal, pull it fill it primer, seal, paint clear it.... or replace it.

for the bumper get a buffer and some good compound and buff it out.

Well some of us aren't tallented enough to do that ourselves. Also this way I'm not paying for all of it out of my own pocket, and it does not affect my insurance rates.
