I actually like it. Luck for me I have a CF hood
and if I do try this, it will be easy to reverse if
it does not turn out as I expect.

I say go for it, MODing a car is about personal

I am going to try to fiberglass mine over the

Re: Custom hood

I love love love that look. There was a guy on here about 6mo. that had one of those hoods. He custom made it with a bunch of shizz and postd his webpage that had all the pics...but he was from some eastern block country so you couldn't read any of the commentary...

If I could I would def get one of those. So fukin mean. and sooo much better than eyelids. Not rice at all if you ask me...

Edit: now that I look at it I think its the same guy I'm thinking of lol...

Re: Custom hood

looks easy enough to me, and i don't even do body work.

just weld in a triangular piece of metal that connects the two corners of the hood, grind it smooth, body filler, primer, paint. done.

Re: Custom hood

yeah i like it. i brought up the same topic a while back and ppl flamed it like no other. but it doesnt help i put up a pic of a gnarly riced prelude.

i thnk the vw's call it a boser hood/ pretty much an extension molded onto the hood.
if you pull it off i hear a kit comin along?

Re: Custom hood

I wouldn't do it. While I agree it does give the front a real angry look, that's not what the Prelude is all about.

And in reality, if I wanted my car to look like an IS300, I'd go and buy one of those.

I agree totally, its your own personal expression. does not matter what other people think. Like ricey for example, if it wasn't for the Movie Fast and the Furious then most all this stuff wouldn't be available for our cars and widely as it is. It was still around I guess and it didn't cost as much for example, the H22 motor used to be able to probably buy that for like $400 to $600(before the movie) now try to find one for under $2500.

Do you know what is involved with that mod? Like it looks as if you only have to add a bit of metal to the hood, but I bet its a frame mightmare to bolt that thing up, (lots of welding and cutting) I'd rather do retros.

No, and if they did, you could just adjust the bulbs.
