Removing Stickers?

How do you go about removing the DOHC VTEC sticker of the rear of the bb6?

Thanks
Brad

By far the worst answer I have ever heard.
After many years of working in a sign shop,
where I have done more vehicle wraps, and graphic
jobs than I would like to remember...I can not say
how wrong that answer is. Seriously, RAZORS and GAS
Do you have any idea what kind of damage that can
do to a clear coat?

If you want to do it, with little to no evidence of
a decal even being there, follow these simple steps.

1 Get a hair dryer and heat up the decal.
2 Get a PLASTIC razor, not metal or a #11 X-acto blade
(very small point perfect for picking edges of vinyl) and peel up 1 side.
3 With the one side starting to peel, continue heating
the decal with the dryer about 6-8 inches off the car
and slowly peel off the rest.
4 Clean up remaining adhesive residue with Goo Gone
5 Now clean off the Goo Gone residue with rubbing alcahol

If needed go back and apply some wax of your choice
and you will be set.

NEVER USE A METAL RAZOR BLADE. I have never used one
the many years in the vinyl business, and never will. Bad
things can happen.

Re: Removing Stickers?

ya, pretty much what jayknight said. i used a legit razor myself, but i know what i was doing haha. if you dont have a plastic razor or anything, get a paint mixing stick and put a point on it.

Re: Removing Stickers?

Hairdryer, goo gone, some kit scratch out, and some patience and I can't even remember my P R E L U D E decal ever being there. And the DOHC decal is next on the docet when I stop being lazy...

Re: Removing Stickers?

I just used Wd-40 to loosen the adhesive and then used a piece of teflon or tephlon idk how to spell it, but yeah a piece of teflon and gentle scraped it off so i wouldn't scratch the paint.
Oh well this is what i did to get the Prelude decal off my 4th gen. Im sure its pretty much the same?

I myself am going to remove my Prelude logo and the old DOHC decal. All of these replies were helpful. Thank you!
