5th gen rear seat wet+sub=bad?

well my car this problem: the rear seats get wet. and thats probably from where the spare wheel well is.

so im wonderin, since i know that my spare wheel well gets wet easily, which is why my rear seat gets soaked.. would it be smart to put a sub therE? i had a sub b4 and it f**ked up, i thought it was cuz i blasted it too much but now to think about it it could be cuz of the water. can somebody give me any input on this?

Re: 5th gen rear seat wet+sub=bad?

blacktape the **** outta the end of the connections, get a closed box, and pray you'll never get water in there lol what do you want us to tell you?

go fix up your car with new weather stripping and then add the setup..until then leave it alone

you do realize the spare wheel well is IN the trunk, correct?? water can't get into one, w/o the other.

I mean even I am not that smart when it comes to cars, but really this has to be a joke. Do you drop your subs in your bathtub when you take baths? Just fix your trunk leak problem solved.

Re: 5th gen rear seat wet+sub=bad?

Go fold down the back parts of ur seats and have a friend or somebody else spray the back with a water hose. Then try 2 find out if u can see where the leak is coming from. U may just need new weather stripping. But until u find the problem, I wouldnt put anything electronic in ur trunk

Re: 5th gen rear seat wet+sub=bad?

I bet its a combination of coming in around the back glass and possibly you might of had some body damage in the back end? Check your rear tailights sometimes those gaskets get dry rotted and they don't work anymore, I would go to Honda Parts at hondapartsnow.com: Honda Accessories, Honda Auto Parts and find the new gaskets and double them up thats what I did with mine and it worked.

Re: 5th gen rear seat wet+sub=bad?

I had the same problem. Water in trunk that migrates to the back seat.
Replace the tail light gaskets and I bet your wet problem will disappear.
One other item can cause this - the tube that drains water from the sunroof.
It can become clogged. It is on the passenger side in the trunk.
