Re: nothing is helping

I have had this issue with other hondas, it always ended up being an issue with the idle air control valve. Let us know what you have tried and what has been done to the car.

Re: nothing is helping

have you replaced ALL Vacuum lines. And I DO mean all. I discovered one on my throttle body that caused this problem to a "t"

Re: nothing is helping

good suggestions, but if you maintain your car, this should not be a problem. I always get people telling me " Why do you spend so much money on that old car ". I just ask them " Do love your car? " they reply " No, its just a car. " Then I say, " well you just don't understand then. "

I set goals for my lude, like now I have bought all the parts to replace my whole entire exhaust. Once they are all here I will install it, I have the clutch and flywheel already and the new stainless steal line, new slave cylinder. Then its off to the suspension tein coilovers basic. Then when I get my tax money back its time for my chrome 17 " TSW Nogaro's w/ falken ze 502's.

For anyone that has idling problems that should be your first priority before anything else, See I have been having an issue with my CAT, seems it is starting to clog ( think it is original) so I have been saving up for the exhaust. So I got the magnaflow hi flo, and then I got the works the rest of the way back. I chose to go back stock. I don't like loud mufflers, it was passing inspection but now the cat is bad so I'm finally getting rid of the fart can, by the way if anyone wants a cat back with an N1 style loud as crap muffler mine is available no leaks. I'll even let the old cat go with it, you can recycle it and get some money out of it. It will be in one piece unless you need it broken down to transport it, but warning I will have to cut bolts they are heavily rusted and road grim. (hince have to be cut off) If anyone wants it and is close to Roanoke, VA its a freeby. I will not ship it wouldn't be worth it.

Re: nothing is helping

well i decidedto keep workin on it yesterday and kinda fixed the problem, in the past couple days i pulled apart the entire manifold, cleaned the egr port and egr valve, took off everything and cleaned everything(used up about 8 cans of carb cleaner). adjusted everything the right way. wen i put everything back together i put in all new gaskets and seals. now my car almost idle fine, its idling between 1k and 800 rpms and its kind of steady there but wen i rev it up just a little bit the rpms start to jump and then slowly stop at 1k and slowly drop down to 800 rpms... thats the new problem i got and dont know why its doing that...
