Re: RIMS????

biggest I'd go is 17. and you're not gonna find good wheels that cheap. even the stock ones still go for more than that. plus tires are going to cost even more.

Re: RIMS????

I suggest looking through the pictures on this forum and seeing what style you like. Wheels are such a personal decision, anything I tell you will be different from what the two blokes above me will tell you to get, which will likely be different to what you actually want.

If you're on a budget don't be afraid to look second hand, but be wary of what you buy. Also, your wheels are the only thing holding your car above the road, don't skimp on the quality of them.

if you want lightweight racing rims, expect to shell out a WHOLE lot more than 400 bones. try between like 1500-3000

Re: RIMS????

might wanna check out some rota's. just because they tend to be not to bad on pricing. and they have a pretty wide selection, most of which are replica wheels from other more expensive companys. but still.

the ones i'm waiting/wishing for are the OLW4's from One Lug Wheels! but they only make them right now in 19's and 20's..

if they would even come down to making 18's i'd probably rock a set of them!

Re: RIMS????

my brother is selling rims. They came off his celica though so idk if they would fit a lude?

they are 5 lugs, i think they are 5 spoke? not sure ill have to check.

hes selling the rims/tires together though. Rims are 400 for all four but he wants to sell all for like 650.

Re: RIMS????

I would recommend looking at the rota slipstreams which are 5 spoke and aren't too heavy. Or even the konig feathers...which are pretty light from what i've been told.

Re: RIMS????

WHERES THE FUNNY PIC?!?!?!?

Another good place to check would be local tire shops. Someone may have a take off set that suits your fancy and they can be had for a VERY good price. Particularly tires. I had a set of Michlen Pilot Sports of a Tiburon with 200 mi on them. $120! If you go 17s then for a tire you will be looking at anywhere from a 205/40-17 to 215/45-17 to fit with out any modifications providing you don't get a wheel with any unusual dimensions. I wouldn't look at anything wider than 7.5" wide wheel.

Oh yeah...I almost forgot. Thanks for reminding me.

If you are only looking to spend $400 for a set of rims.
This is about all you can get, that are going to be NEW.

Then remember you still have to get tires.

Re: RIMS????

hey im in the same situation as MitaSattar i want 17s on my 5th gen but cheap ones i like to see pics of a lude with 5 6 and 7 star or legged rims, but i want low offsets on mine so can some one explain how it works. like the rota grids they look good at low offsets but can i go 17x7 with a 35 offset. also i seen the same rims with low offsets with little lip but concaved(thats the look i wan) and the same one but with 2 or 3in lips but high offset so does that mean the legs off the rim get move out on lowwer offset and the hub or center stay in same place until it reaches a certain offset. because if its like that i can go low on a short width rim and not have it sticking out. sorry about theconfusion just trying to get an idea on how i can go low on offset and not risk the rim sticking. Also i now this aint my thread but im new and looks like theres more people replying here than in the new member forum and its about rims. Thanks.

Re: RIMS????

Rotas are pretty nice for the price, but a new set of 17in will set you back around $600 already. Don't bother with 18in rims, your just going to bend them.
