Bracing clutch pedal (auto>manual conversion)

I'm at the stage in my auto>manual conversion now where I'm ready to fit in the clutch and brake pedals into the car.

I have been reading through articles about this procedure and no doubt this is one of the trickiest parts of the job.

I see some people braced their clutch pedal in by drilling a hole underneath the plastic cover at the bottom of the windscreen in the engine bay.
Then putting a metal threaded bar and nuts in to really hold it in there.

All fine there, bought the bar, washers, nuts etc. today.

But.. how do you know exactly where to drill the hole? Does anyone have any measurements that they can remember.

Another tricky part is the drilling of the 30mm hole (and 2 more for the bolts) into the bulkhead to attach the clutch master cylinder. Not a lot of room in there eh ? :)

Also if anyone else has any other tips on securing the clutch pedal in properly, I`d be intrested to know.

Thanks

Thanks. I read through that one too. I guess we'll play it by ear and go by RomPirates pics and cross fingers :)

Right angle drill is a big help for this. As far as location, I am not sure.
