Ok I just put in my foggies this morning befor having turkey, and I am waiting on my Yellow HID kit.

My next plan is to get a front lip. Should I get a black one? or paint it the color of my car, I haveblack wheels and C.F. hood and trunk.

And my next plan is to work on my header, because it looks so bad.

Should I sand them and put a hight themp clear cot ? Heat wrap? Where can I buy Heat wrape?

Alright heres the pics, hope you had a good thanks given.

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

If u got black rims, cf hood and trunk I would say go with the black lip. I like the look of it, as do alot of other ppl. And u also dont have 2 paint the thing. It would look better with all your others parts u have. And sorry, its header. Not headers

Color matched lip (my opinion but its your car)

those aren't headers its header, if you keep that stock manifold just put the heat shroud back on, cheaper and will probably work better than any cheap header you can buy.

Yeah I defanaly want to keep my stock manifold, But when I bought my car it did have the heat shroud. plus I kind kind of like the way it looks, execpte for the rusty color

But yeah, thanks for all your opinons, sorry I am a very bad spealer, I corrected that header

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

You spelled it right just that we don't have headers we have a header singular. So you didn't have the heat shroud? If not try looking on Hondapartsnow.com they have everything. I nice new one would look nice I have seen some on this site painted that look really good. I would put the heat shroud back on cause you soon will have to replace some hoses.

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

Color match body parts. I would only use CF as accent parts or weight reduction, not just to have CF.

You can spray some Must for rust on the header and it will make the rust turn black.

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

i dont think a carbon fiber lip would be worth it for the amount it costs. plastic lips by themselves weigh very little, and a few ounces wouldnt really do anything. but ya, id either color match the lip, or paint the whole kit black. as for the header, you can make a weekend project and get some high temp paint and do it. i just bought some header wrap from pepboys, im doing it this weekend lol

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

you can get "Must for Rust" at Homedepot near the paint section. Its an acid solution that converts rust to a black phosphate.

Thanks I check it out. buy the way your lude looks great man!!

what I had in mind was like a hight temp clear cote, the one that fades colors with the hight temperature, but once you have the heat wrap on you wont see anything so...

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

i have a black lip on my red 5th gen and it looks good just the hood is painted black and red look better in red but the lip looks good. also i think lips come black primered so you can like not stick it on if it uses adhesive but like tape it or get it to stay were your goin to put it and see if it looks good and if not find a pic on google with a painted lip.

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

Same for High temp clear. Since it is clear it may not be as noticable if it burns off. It may just rust where it burns off. I sandblasted my header on my other car then preped with denatured alcohol before painting with high temp. after some time bits burned off and rusted. Sprayed it with the Must for Rust and the rust spots turned black and is close to matching black paint.

Re: Need your oppinion on a few things.

sand it so it is just surface rust, any thick bits of rust will get the surface to turn black but then chip off. This also works well for prep before painting the pipes if you want another color besides black. Just realize, it will only turn the rusty parts black and the normal steel will stay the same color.

Or you could just wrap it with heat tape and then you'll be good on the heat thing plus hiding the surface rust and also give it a mean look. Covers everything no pun intended (yes it was)

My header looks like peepee too, but its under the heat shroud. Just sand and spray the heat shroud. It'll look MONEY!
