K&N Typhoon intake

So, I was debating on whether I was going to get a short ram intake or a cold air intake. CAI had the possibility of hydro-locking, but short ram had its perks of better throttle response and possibility better gas mileage over the CAI.

Then I heard of K&N Typhoon intake, the intake where you detach the whole intake and it turns into a short ram, or you could but it back together for a whole CAI.

Any one have suggestions on the typhoon? It sounds like a pretty good intake, im thinking short ram in the winters and rain season, and then when summer kicks in, i attach the other to make it into a cold air intake.

Re: K&N Typhoon intake

just get a K&N air filter for your stock intake

most people here are saying an sri actually hurts performance

and really you don't get much of an increase from cai so if hydrolock is a concern ya... just get the better filter ^_^

...or an AEM v2/Type-S intake, which is your best bet.
