Re: rebuild or jdm h22

rebuild. you could purchase better components and have them installed and have a greater motor w/ the price your going to pay for the motor itself, shipping, and install if you get it done for you.

**EDIT** I would find a used 5 speed h22 tranny though, or purchase one from one from hmotorsonline.com

Re: rebuild or jdm h22

hmotors has done well by me. 6 of my customers have ordered from them and i haven't had any issues. just do the swap... it is cheaper in the long run.

Re: rebuild or jdm h22

Man i would honestly prolly go with the one nick suggested. I've only heard good things about hmotorsonline. And I've heard a couple bad stories of jdmenginescorp. Plus you'll have extra money for 5spd swap parts

The JDM H22A (at least OBD1 versions) comes out of those year preludes. You can still put a JDM H22A in a 5th gen lude. I have one in mine and many others do as well.
I would still just recommend getting the H22A from Hmotors and not the type s. Unless for some reason you want to spend 1000 more dollars for a couple extra horsies and the Type-s "status."

^ Yup. JDM H22A dropped into my 5th gen 97 base, bolted to stock 5-spd tran. It was a good call, batman.
