I just got my 00' lude a few weeks ago, lately it has been shifting poorly. Sometimes after sitting for a few mins in neutral it wont shift into 1st gear without me throwing it in 3rd or 2nd first. Also when going from 4th to fifth it will not move completely into fifth. 5th gear has a little grind every once in a while. And reverse will sometimes not go in unless i loosely tap the shifter to the right a few times.

What is going on with it? are the syncros going? the car has 130k on it and it had a clutch job done at 70k. Any help would be great.

First off I have experienced the same 1st gear and reverse problems in my friends brand new 06 civic( when it was new) and I also have those issues. Our preludes are known for the infamous 5th gear grind. I wouldn't freak out just yet, try changing your fluids and such to see if that helps. But yes, sounds like your synchros could be having trouble. I'll leave a definitive answer for someone more experienced( and knows the definitive answer lol, but I hope that that can at least get you into the right direction...so basically free bump for you =)
