Break light (as in the little red light on your dash)

So my break light keeps coming on, well more like flashing at me and sometimes not staying on more then a second. Mostly when I accelerate, never when I break. I checked the break and clutch fluid (just to be on the safe side) it was a little low, but not anything major. I topped it off and it went off for about a day, then started flashing at me again. I made sure that my e-break is all the way down (and not bouncing any) and that none of my bulbs are out. I checked the break fluid and it is fine. I also had my tires done this past weekend and they checked my pads and for any leaks, everything was fine. So anyone have any clue what this could mean?
~Thanks

I'm not a mechanic or anything, but I noticed you didn't mention the checking of any fuses or wiring. Might want to check there.

Re: Break light (as in the little red light on your dash)

If it's definitely not the brake fluid or pads I'd say it's probably something like a faulty sensor or loose connection or something like that

Re: Break light (as in the little red light on your dash)

Could definitely be a faulty connection or the sensor. I would still take a look at the thread that el13adnino posted. And by the way it's "BRAKE" not "Break".

Re: Break light (as in the little red light on your dash)

its probably just a wire connection at your e-brake cause mine stays on of like 10 min on a really cold day. it goes away though.

Re: Break light (as in the little red light on your dash)

I had a similar problem, ended up being my third brake light's bulb kept getting more loose as I took bumps, and it registered that the brake light was out. Just tightened up the bulb, and replaced it while I was at it and it's all good now.

Rofl, they are TYC impala style lights. I bought them personally from a friend that parted out some of his accord. Not many people like them at all, but I do.
