P13 in H22A help.

I posted over at preludepower, but figured you guys would like to help out too!

As of yesterday I had a P72 ECU in my JDM H22A 5th gen. I'm pretty sure it is unchipped, and I keep reading that this ECU makes it run pretty lean as well as bogging when vtec engages. (unless it's chipped/tuned) So I am currently borrowing a P13 which is the stock ECU that came with the H22A. I figured this would help my vtec problem and make the car run a bit smoother.
It definitely helped! Vtec was actually noticeable and it seemed smoother overall although it did have a very rough idle (bounced between 800-1500) However, it threw a CEL very soon after I started testing it out. I checked the code using the jumper method and the abs light indicated 53, 81 and 12.
Now my question is...when I looked up the codes none of them were CEL codes. However, there were abs codes that matched my codes.

12 - Wheel Sensor: RF (Electrical Noise/Intermittent Interruption)
53 - Motor Stuck ON
81 - Central Processing Unit (CPU)

Does anyone know why a P13 would throw these codes while the P72 does not? Also where is the bouncy idle coming from?

Re: P13 in H22A help.

well... i dont know if it would matter but it looks like your car is a base and you said you had a jdm h22a ecu in it... meaning it would have atts... but could you enlighten us on what parts are base/sh or s models?

Re: P13 in H22A help.

I'm almost absolutely sure it's just base everything under the hood. No ATTS or anything. Did all the JDM P13's have ATTS? That could definitely cause a probelm. Are there any specific parts that wouldn't work if mixed with a P13? Like my IACV? That would explain my idle problem. Although i'm still pretty confused as to why I idle fine with the P72 but i'm all over the place with the P13...

Re: P13 in H22A help.

hmm... yes a jdm h22a or the type s motor would have the atts... but now a regular jdm h22a1 i think. would not have atts...

Re: P13 in H22A help.

1) CEL lights up...Jumper method flashed the ABS light at me...if they are ABS codes they =

12 - Wheel Sensor: RF (Electrical Noise/Intermittent Interruption)
53 - Motor Stuck ON
81 - Central Processing Unit (CPU)

Is my ABS malfunctioning?

2) It idles high...and after a while will start bouncing between 800 and 1500. With my P72 I do not have this problem whatsoever. Why is the P13 messing up my idle?

Any advice/help is appreciated!

Re: P13 in H22A help.

well the idle that bounces is usually due to a vac leak... but if it doesnt do it with the other... its got me... do you have any vac lines that are cracked or disconnected?

Naw bro. Not that I know of. My idle with the P72 is flawless. Sits at 750 with no problems. I'm baffled too. :(
