Re: Reverse issues

first try: as your pulling the shifter back into reverse, at the same time SLOWLY start letting the clutch out. alotta times it'll pop into gear doing that.

if that doesn't do it, shift all the way into first, then retry reverse again.

Re: Reverse issues

sometimes my car has trouble going into reverse but i do what nick said and it usually works. Hmmm i would just say try going through gears and then try to pop into reverse. Im not an expert here not sure what else to say to do.

Re: Reverse issues

my car did the same exact thing... i didn't have reverse for like 3 weeks, one day i just tried reverse and it half popped into gear, i went and found a minor incline, drove up it a bit, let my car coast back and as it coasted backwards i tried to gently slide the shifter into reverse, after like 5 or 10 mins it popped right in and have been fine every since.

Re: Reverse issues

i tried that too a few times, and still nothing. so this afternoon i took out the center counsel bc i was thinking mabie there was something down under the shifter and i found nothing and it is still not going into reverse. if i try to put it in reverse when the car is running i can hear the engine lower the rpm's just a tiny bit like there is a slight load on it but as soon as i stop trying to put it in revers it goes back to the normal idle rpm's. thanks any how bcoy!
