Icon5 Door locks not working!!!

Ok so since I bought the car both door locks haven't worked. Everytime I press the lever up or down the doors won't lock or unlock. I checked for fuses but can't figure out what fuse it is. It's not labeled. Has anybody had this problem before? What can I do to fix my door locks?

Re: Door locks not working!!!

This may sound stupid but have you tried switching the child locks off? The switch on the drivers side panel, the long skinny one. If you ever disconnect your panel the switch AUTOMATICALLY switches to child locks on, regardless of what position your switch says.

Re: Door locks not working!!!

^Interesting fact to know! I'm gonna have to check out mine, My driver side lock works when you hit the locks but the passenger side doesn't lol. Hell I'm re-checking it tomorrow since I have nothing better to do.

Re: Door locks not working!!!

I actually have done this and will openly admit that I am an idiot...
I had an Integra and when I took the door panel off to install my speakers and sound system I re connected everything and went through 5 days of completely freaking out and I come to find out when you disconnect it that happens...it was not cool, lol. I went thru so many parts to try and find out what was wrong....and it was just a flippin switch...

Re: Door locks not working!!!

Im betting you door lock actuator took a crap on ya. Does the lock rod even try to budge when you hit the switch? IF you manually press down on the lock rod, does anything happen?

All it does when I hit the switch is make a sound, but nothing happens. If I manually press the lock rod it locks my side. The passengers side stays unlocked.

the fact that your drivers side locks when you push down on the rod makes me say its an actuator. The passenger side i will have to think about.

Re: Door locks not working!!!

Guys - sorry to bring up a really old thread here, but I'm stumped. I took off the door panels (both passenger and driver) and now I'm reading about these child locks. Can someone better describe (or take a picture) of this long skinny "pole" for the child locks?

My driver and passenger locks are no longer working from the switch inside the car or with the remote, so I'm wondering if this is the problem. However, I cannot locate the child lock "pole" at all. Everything looks correct and the locks make a noise when pressing the remote, but no noise at all from inside the car.

I feel like an idiot.

Re: Door locks not working!!!

i am not out at my car, but usually the child lock would be on the door in the doorsill, so like on the side of the door by the latch maybe. something to try
