Icon2 Ebay clutches and fywheel

Ok well this is actually gonna be a couple questions.
First off, im gathering parts rite now for a 5spd swap and i was looking at either an exedy clutch and 8lb flywheel. I found a package with both on ebay. Heres the link EXEDY CLUTCH KIT& FIDANZA FLYWHEEL HONDA ACCORD PRELUDE:eBay Motors (item 400081736808 end time Nov-26-09 08:25:06 PST) ---does it look legit 2 you guys? Im new 2 all this 5spd stuff so please forgive me.

Ok and also. Do u guys think for a guy that will just be learning how 2 drive stick, a 8lb flywheel will be too hard 2 learn 2 drive on? Any recommendations? Thank you guys for your help in advance

Re: Ebay clutches and fywheel

Yes, it's legit.

Exedy is a very well known company and so is fidanza. A lot of guys here are running on Exedy clutches and consider them the best. When my clutch goes out I'm going to get one too.

When you hear people said "don't buy ebay stuff", most of the time they mean don't buy the cheap no brand stuff on ebay.
Ebay is a good way to buy stuff as long as it from a well known company and seller.

About learning to drive stick with a lighter flywheel I really don't know, but I heard that it doesn't affects driveability that much. The engine will rev quicker but I think you can learn to drive it without to much trouble.
(The first week or two are the toughest but after that I don't think you'll want to go back to auto, you'll feel like something is missing)

Buy it, its legit, dont worry about learning to drive stick with the lightweight flywheel, you'll get use to it within a couple of minutes.

So thanks alot for clearing that up guys. Looks like im going with the 8lb flywheel too. Thank u guys so much. I really appreciate it. hopefully I can learn 2 drive stick pretty easily. Im keeping my fingers crossed!! Lol

Re: Ebay clutches and fywheel

Had an Exedy clutch in my Accord. No complaints at all about it. How uch have you spent or plan to spend on the swap? I'm going to start gathering parts to do mine in January, just curious what I'm looking at.

I was rocking the F1 Racing Stage One Clutch package with the 11.5 lbs. flywheel off of eBay - got it all for $215 shipped and it was absolutely amazing, I never had one problem at all and the car shifted amazing

Um well i sorta just started on gathering my parts last month. But for all the parts im expecting 2 spend between $1500 to $2000. I wanna get it done somewhere around mid january or the beginning of february. U can definitely get all the parts for about 12-1300 if u look around enough and wait long enough but im trying 2 get the good stuff. Lol. Hopefully im gonna be able 2 get a m2b4(4th gen lsd) tranny. But i mite just go with the m2y4. PM me if u need anymore info bro
