Re: squeaking noise

Ive heard from other Prelude owners the rear suspension makes a knock. As for the annoying squeak coming from the front you said near the pedals....odd... any aftermarket stuff like radio or pedals please list what you can that you have changed or repaired would help.

Re: squeaking noise

i have a aftermarket radio, been put in by previous owner and i unbolted the clutch pedal once before to get the master cylinder out but didnt have any luck.but i bolted everything back in and it seats there tight.ive changed my springs also and it almost sounds like its coming from my suspension, could that be the problem?

Re: squeaking noise

I'm sorry but you asking us about problems with sound from your car is just not going to get you anywhere - the best we can do is just say what you have already said:
Check your suspension for worn springs,
Check all the rubber bump stops and rubber pieces to make sure they aren't ripped or shredded
Is the car lowered?
Could also be a motor mount going bad
Could be alternator bearing

Good luck

Re: squeaking noise

my ass makes a weird squeaking noise too after i hit up chipotle...

does the noise occur when the clutch pedal is depressed? i have the same issue randomly and it's the clutch fork in the transaxle starving for lube...

Re: squeaking noise

It only makes a noise when the car shakes or when the engine vibrates hard.

Re: squeaking noise

wow so vague in your description...

what is causing the car to shake... and you say when your engine is vibrating hard... so you're saying when you hit the gas pedal hard...

does it do it while you're sitting still and turning the steering wheel back and forth?

Re: squeaking noise

i know this is an old thread but its the closest one to what i need to know without making a new one. i have a tiny squeaking sound from the front end almost sounding like my belts are going bad (already changed them) that goes away when i press the clutch pedal in. Also when its cold it squeaks really badly just like the belts are bad but will go away if i take it out of gear and release the clutch.

From my research and my friends guess (hes no mechanic but knows a bit) its the throw out bearing. but heres the second problem. sometimes it wont really go in gear especially after riding on the highway for a while. i will have to press the clutch in a few diff times to get it to go in. is my whole clutch ****ed?? or is there a temp fix as i am getting a h22 swap with lsd tranny in about 3 months and dont wanna buy a whole new clutch for this one
